Description:
Houdini is our own home grown boy. His mother is CH Calcatta’s Rayne of
Jater Bengals, and we want to thank Christina Dahleen of Calcatta Bengals, very much for allowing her to be part of our Bengal family. His father is RW SGC Stonehenge Wurththawait of SnoPride and we thank Don and Margie Heil of SnoPride Bengals very much for allowing us to use their beautiful stud.
I believe Houdini is the most incredible Bengal that I have ever seen and feel very honored and lucky to have him in our cattery. Houdini has won just about everything that there has been to win. He is a Regional Winner and a
Supreme Grand Champion. He finaled at On Safari and has won the spectators choice award on two separate occasions. He was a winner in the Pursuit of Perfection, contest that was put on by TIBCS
in which he was voted one of the top ten cats for the year 2006. At On Safari he was also voted best Bengal eyes by the other Bengal breeders. Houdini won the honor of being the top Bengal in the North West Region for the show year 2006 and he was only in four shows as an adult. Houdini won the top Bengal honors in every show that he was in after he was five months old.
Now that I have mentioned Houdini’s incredible bloodlines and all of the top honors that he has won, let me describe him as best that I can. I will start with the obvious. Houdini’s pattern is second to none, his rosettes are tri-colored with rich red centers and thick black out lines. But not only that they are the same size from his tail to his shoulder and they all have the perfect amount of acreage between them, just like the leopards, that are running around on the plains of the Serengeti. I have seen a lot of Bengals that have huge rosettes in the center of their bodies and then they get small and in most cases disappear when they get close to the tail or the rosettes are so big that there isn’t hardly any acreage between them. With Houdini the contrast is just as incredibly sharp at his tail, as it is on his sides, and all on a beautiful golden back round. His body is long and very muscular.
Houdini’s web photos were taken when he was one year and two months old and he weighed
15 pounds at that time. He is just a big, strong and beautiful boy. Houdini has a nice thick tail and his head is awesome. He has very small ears and a nice profile and huge, beautiful nocturnal eyes. Now with all of his beauty, he still would not have been a great show cat if it weren’t for his incredibly laid back and super friendly personality. All of this in one Bengal, is why I believe that Houdini is the nicest Bengal that I have ever seen, and why I am so honored to have him in our Bengal family. Watch for Houdini’s kittens to win in the show halls for many years to come.
